Day 1

Today is the day 1 of my quit smoking pills. I started them this morning. The first 30 days is the starter pack. For the next 3 days I take 1 in the morning, then I take 1 in the morning & 1 in the afternoon. This pack, each pill is .5 mg, then they increase to .1 mg the rest of the month. They will increase again when I finish this pack in 30 days. I have to take them for 6 months. They say the side effects are bad nightmares and depression. I hope I don't experience either.

I guess I won't need to go see the Wizard to get a brain. Seems everything is ok with the one I have. No seizures. He said it was probably caused by the coughing spell I had and just couldn't get enough oxygen. He put me on a pill called Chandix to quit smoking. I have to be on it for 6 months. Wish me luck, and I going to need it........

TO MUCH EXCITEMENT

I recieved a call from JT this morning. While he was at school last night, little JT put his arm through the glass door on the sun porch. Kelly's car is in the shop from the car accident last week, so she had to call an ambulance to take him to the emergency room. Took 8 stitches to close his wound. I called him this morning and he was trying to tell me all about it. Mercy told Grandma Great that she was screaming and crying because she thought he was going to die. 3 years old and he has already broke his leg and now has had to have stitches. I need to say a prayer that he isn't going to be accident prone.

Tomorrow I go to the hospital at 10 am for an EEG. I guess they will hook me up with alot of wires on my head. They will have me sit in a big lasyboy with a warm blanket and monitor my brain activity. I should have the results by the end of next week. Say a prayer that it isn't anything serious. I can't wait until I can drive again. This has been a pain in the rearend.......

Vacations over and today is my first day back to work.

My vacation started out fine. Louie and I worked for 2 days in the yard. My black dirt was delivered and I was able to get my flowers planted in the new planter we put in about a month ago. After two days of hard labor, I decided to relax a bit on Sunday. Louie and Jay were going to Bonnie Doon's for a car show. I figured I would head over to JT's and visit with my grandkids. As I pulled around the corner onto their street I started to cough and I could not breath. The next thing I know I am waking up after my car had jumped the curb and is resting against a small tree in JT's front yard. I was shaking and sweating. I realized I had blacked out. I pulled the car down off the curb and honked for JT to come out to help me. Of course he wants to take me to the emergency room. I told him I was ok and I wasn't going. As he was helping me out of the car, I realized I had wet myself, so I really wasn't going to the ER. After a couple of hours I felt I could drive home.
I called my doctor and went in to see him on Thursday. He thinks I may have had a seizure. He has ordered me to take some tests of my brain this Thursday at the hospital, then I go back to see him the following week. He told me that I can NOT drive until we know what caused me to black out. I will update everyone, when I get some answers.

The week was not the best we have had. JT was one of 3 firefighters injuried last weekend battling a housefire in Elkhart. My boss read it on the SBT website that morning and called me. I didn't know anything about it. I called him and he was sleeping because he had been up all night fighting the fire. He has a bad spain to this right wrist and will have to be off work a week. Then this past Saturday night he was in a car accident. He was stopped at a traffic light, when a woman in a pick-up truck rammed into the rear end of his car. He said he is ok, but she did about $5000.00 in damage to the car.

I did get to enjoy some activies. Louie and I spent Tuesday shopping and Wednesday and Thursday at Silver Beach. We wandered St. Joe after sunning ourselves all afternoon. We had dinner at one of our favorite places, The Pump House Grille. We then watched the sunset over the lake. It was a beautiful.

After this vacation, I think I am glad to be back to work........

One and a half days until I am on vacation. Louie and I plan a couple of days at Cedar Point, but then it is back home to do the odd jobs around the house that never get done because we are at work. I have high hopes, hope I have a high energy level.

I may make my way over to JT's and see how things are going at their new house. From what I hear they still have alot of organizing to do.

I also may hit Silver Beach. There is nothing I enjoy more than working on a tan.
