BUSY WEEKEND
After the birthday party Saturday evening, we had another party on Sunday. My cousin's son Eric graudation party was at their home in North Liberty. We were lucky the rain held off for as long as it did. As you can see in this picture there was some sunshine. We had a nice time. I always enjoy sitting around eating and chatting with family. He is off to Ball State this fall. It is hard to believe he is old enough for college.

Grandma's girl
I get a call lst Monday at work. This little voice says, "grandma, can you spend the night with me?". Of course I chuckled a bit and explained that Grandma has to work and I can't spend the night. She then wanted to come to my house. Again, the Grandma has to work conversation took place. I get a call last night wanting to know when she can spend the night because as she put it, "I have been waiting a LONG time." Wish I was retired so I could stay home and enjoy them more often.

This is a picture of Sgt. Lee's medals from his service in the Iraq war. My husband took the picture sideways. This was my birthday gift to him this year. I had them mounted and put in a shadow box for him to display in his Marine room at his new home. Hopefully they won't get lost this way.

I always wanted a son when I was pregnant. That was exactly what I received. Now I have this girly girl granddaughter, and I have discovered that I enjoy buying pink girl's stuff. My grandson is the sweetest boy to ever grace my life. I am very lucky to be able to spoil them.
